It’s no secret that exercise is confusing and often times, frustrating.
Am I doing this exercise correctly? Should I be doing cardio or resistance training? How many reps should I do? What are the best exercises for my butt? How many weekly workouts should I be doing? I heard kettlebell swings are really good for losing weight, but I don’t know how to do them. Am I just wasting my time going to the gym without a plan?
It’s easy to get overwhelmed, lose hope, and quit. Just imagine if we had to learn calculus without a teacher or a textbook. How far would we get before we give up?
That’s probably why the obesity rates keep climbing in the U.S.
So, a few months ago we launched our Personalized Coaching Plans (PCPs) for our members interested in getting a professional, customized 6-week training program. Basically, we wanted to help solve that very problem described above – Here’s your plan. This is what you should be doing when you come into the gym based on your goal, training history, injury history, and fitness level.
Thus far, it’s been a success.
However, we can do more.
Thanks to a few members, we’ve been inspired (or prodded with a hot iron) to really dig deep and find a better, more all-inclusive package to alleviate the confusion.
We have. It’s called our PCP Plus package (PCP+).
Our original PCP is still a great option for members who either already have their nutrition dialed in or who just aren’t that concerned about eating healthy (skinny genetics) and just want a customized training plan created by a trainer. We’re not eliminating it, and instead, keeping that as an option. $30 for the first 6 weeks, and then $20 thereafter.
Exercise is just one piece of the puzzle though.
What if you need help with your nutrition? More specifically and a much bigger issue than knowing right from wrong when it comes to eating, what if you need help being held accountable?
I’m pretty confident everyone knows a banana is a healthier option than a Snickers, a grilled chicken breast is healthier than a pizza, and vegetables are healthier than potato chips. That’s easy. Yet, the decision to eat one over the other is not, especially if you’re the only one holding you accountable for your actions.
Imagine trying to go through high school and never having to take a test over the material you were supposed to learn. How well would you have learned the material? How many state capitals would you know today?
No accountability. No results.
Weight Watchers, AA, and successful drug treatment programs all include two things: 1) coaching 2) accountability.
And that’s exactly what we’re adding to our PCP+ plan.
This plan is for you if you are:
- Confused about nutrition and exercise and need help losing weight.
- Know that you aren’t getting the results you want because no one is holding you accountable for your actions
- More comfortable in a private, smaller group setting than classes or working out on your own.
- Excited about working with a small team of people just like you who have the same hurdles and obstacles you have and can relate to your struggles.
By joining our PCP+ plan, you’ll get:
- 3 weekly resistance training workouts that are done on your own time so no matter how busy you are, you can still fit them in.
- One weekly accountability group session where we take measurements and take you through a small group training session on Sunday evenings (6 or 7pm TBD).
- Access to our private FB group where you will be required to check in daily with pictures of your meals.
- Private, small group nutrition seminars
- Access to our coaches 24/7 via email and the private FB group.
If you’re serious about your weight loss and health and need that extra push in a private setting, this plan is for you. For members of Ageless, it’s $40 per month. For non-members, it’s $100. Due to the intimacy of the small groups, we only have 10 spots available. Spots are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis.
And by the way, if you don’t think you’ll be able to commit or participate in the weekly and daily check-in’s, unfortunately, we won’t be able to accept you into the program. The success of this program hinges on not just your accountability to us, but also to the entire small group. Group dynamics are important, and all it takes is one person to hurt a team. So, although 99% of the time we’re nice people, you can expect some tough love if you aren’t holding up your end of the deal.
