Thank you ! The feedback we received from our last post regarding an expansion to a 2nd location in Staunton was tremendous. Some of it was positive. Some of it was negative. Most importantly, all of it was EXTREMELY helpful. In all honesty, you were the swing vote.
Once again, it’s easy to see why we love Ageless as much as we do.. We ask for honest feedback, and we immediately get it. What’s even more impressive was the time the majority of you spent thinking about your response. It’s obvious that we don’t have just 2 or 3 owners; we have 300+ owners. It’s so nice when “customers” care as much about the business as the employees and owners do. Do you think customers at Wal-Mart would do that? Ha!
And it doesn’t just stop with the feedback. Do you know how many members offered to help with the remodel this past weekend? Too many to count. John Ronald even offered to stop his workout so he could go home and bring us another paint roller.
We also cannot forget about our team. A HUGE thanks to Reggie and Mike Byots, Barb Bishop, Amy Burns, and Meredith Osborn are long overdue. All were once members, and who quickly became part of our family. Every class they teach is pro bono. They don’t do it for us. They do it for you. They honestly love what they do. In fact, every member of our team does. And that, along with you, is why we’re successful. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to even consider adding a 2nd location.
Our decision
So with your feedback, we have decided to pursue the Staunton location. We signed the lease this past weekend, and hope to be open by December 1st. The Staunton location will be 24 hours. We’ll have treadmills, ellipticals, free weights, weight machines, personal training, and more. It’s going to be almost identical to Gillespie, except it’s a little smaller so it won’t have as much equipment. It will also have a room for classes, as well as a spinning room. Keycards WILL work at both locations. Once you’re a member of Ageless, you’ll be a member at BOTH gyms.
Many of you were concerned about losing the “melting pot”-like atmosphere at our current gym. Don’t worry. Although the majority of our services will be identical, each gym will offer unique experiences so you’ll still be able to mingle with your out-of-town neighbors. Plus, with two gyms, you’ll more likely to be able to fit a class into your schedule, and we’ll be able to offer more niche-type classes. Overall, we really feel this will benefit everyone.
So please follow along with our progress as we promise to post pictures weekly. Become a fan of Ageless Squared on Facebook by clicking here.
