Each month at Ageless we highlight one of our members that has put extraordinary effort into his or her fitness to such a level that their energy is contagious and spreads to others throughout the gym.
This month we are highlighting Kerri Frensko as our member of the month. We asked Kerri a few questions about her fitness and workout routine. These are her responses:
What got you interested in fitness?
I have always had to do some sort of exercising since my teenage years because I do love food. When I heard we were getting a gym in Gillespie I was very excited. I started with Ageless when they opened on Main Street (2009).
How do you find/make time to get your workouts in?
I love that Ageless offers classes through the week. That motivates me to get there. I have done the bootcamp, spin, spartacus, butts and guts, glokick, and small group training. I try to write it on the calendar so its part of my day.
What tip(s) would you offer someone who is just starting out?
Start off slow, work at your own pace, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. The staff at Ageless are always willing to help.
What is your current workout routine?
My current workout routine is coming to all the classes at Ageless. Occasionally, I workout at the high school track or take bike ride. I have joined a few of the contests and runs they have offered.
In your opinion, what is the biggest benefit of exercising?
The biggest benefit of exercise is how it makes you feel. It gives me so much energy, stress relief, and seems to help my sleep pattern.
Have you seen good results? If so could you go into detail about them?
You can get the results you want if you set your mind to it. I struggle with my weight so working out is something I need to do along with healthy eating.
How has being a member at Ageless helped you on your fitness journey?
We are so lucky to have Ageless in this small community. I encourage people to take advantage of this. People from other towns come up and tell me how lucky we are. Being a member of Ageless, motivates me to go join the morning or evening classes they offer. My children have enjoyed the kids’ programs including Spartacus and dodge ball. Also, I like how Ageless asks the gym members what future classes or ideas can be started. Keep up the good work Ageless!
