Stop! Step away from the sugar. I repeat. Step away from the sugar.
If you’re like us, your sweet tooth is unstoppable. No matter how hard you try you just can’t keep your hand out of the cookie jar.
Well, that’s about to change.
This March Ageless in Gillespie is running 21 Day No Sugar Challenge.
This is how it will work – Before March 1st, you and a partner will sign up at the front desk in Gillespie. The cost is $10 per member. When you sign up, we’ll give you a March calendar to hang up on your fridge and a list of foods that are approved. From March 1st through March 21st, you cannot eat any food that has “Added Sugar” (processed foods). How do you know if a food has “Added Sugar?” Look at the nutrition facts label below. Natural sugar, like fructose that’s found in fruits, is fine. However, if the nutrition facts include “Added Sugar” the food is not allowed. (Hint: Anything you drink that has sugar in it is not allowed except for milk and dry wines that usually contain less than 1g of sugar per glass)
Every day you don’t eat sugar, you’ll put an “X” on the calendar we provided you with. If at the end of, you and your partner have a calendar full of “X’s” AND lost/maintained your current weight, your team will be put in the drawing for the grand prize. Just what is that grand prize you ask….. The entire pot of entry fees from the challenge along with $100 Ageless is putting in the pot.
But that’s not it… Because we know how addicting sugar is, you need accountability. So we’re going to provide accountability by:
- Having you sign up with a partner that your accountable to.
- Having you weigh in at the gym with an Ageless staff member each week.
- Having you bring your week of “X’s” from your calendar into the gym each week.
