Advanced Strength and Speed Team Training

 

In the offseason you’re either putting in the work, or you’re not. The answer becoms obvious once the season begins. 

Every MLB, college, and top level high school team has an offseason strength and conditioning program that is making their kids stronger, faster, and more resilant for the upcoming season. 

It’s not optional. It’s required. 

Unfortunately, for smaller schools and youth traveling teams, that option hasn’t been available… until now!

Ageless is now offering team strength and speed offseason workouts for high school – 5th grade baseball and softball teams using the EXOS’ training model. 

We’ll work with coaches and schedule workouts once or twice weekly that fit the team’s current schedule. All sessions will be through the week after 6pm or on the weekends. 

The Details for our TEAM workouts

  • Who:  5th grade – high school baseball and softball teams
  • What: 60 minute strength and speed sessions specific for baseball and softball players
  • Cost: $5 per athlete per session with a minimum of 8 team members per session and a maximum of 14 team members per session
  • Where: Ageless in Gillespie
  • When: Starting in December. Coaches can contact us to schedule the workouts to fit the team’s current schedule. 
  • Misc: These are only open to teams, not individual players. You must have a minimum of 8 players participating in each session.

Class Outline

  1. Dynamic Warmup – Learn how to warm up properly prior to training and games to maximize strength, speed, and power as well as reduce risk of injury.
  2. Acceleration Mechanics – Learn the right and wrong way to sprint with a focus on arm mechanics and shin angles so that we squeeze every ounce of speed out of every athlete on the basepath.
  3. Strength – Learn how to perform the movement patterns like the squat, hip hinge, and press that transfer the most power to the ball diamond. 
  4. Sport-specific Drills – Learn drills that improve rotational power for back hip mechanics for hitters and pitchers. Also, learn the proper technique for the drop step and crossover step that increase speed on the field.
