The Swimsuit Trifecta Challenge


Although it may not feel like it, swimsuit season is right around the corner. And that can only mean one thing… the winter weight needs to come off. 


Enter our new challenge.. The Swimsuit Trifecta


If you’ve done any bodyweight tracking in the past, you know the bathroom scale can be an unreliable friend. Sometimes it goes up. Sometimes it goes down. Sometimes it appears stuck….forever. Worse yet, if your goal is to look good in a swimsuit, one could really make the argument that tracking only your body weight is a poor roadmap for success. You could be losing body fat and gaining muscle mass (the holy grail of the toned swimsuit look), but the scale will show nothing. Thus, you could be doing everything right and be well on your way to swimsuit success, but because the scale is tracking the wrong thing, you could make an ill-advised change to your diet/workout or worse yet, give up. 


So, what’s a better solution? 


Pictures – before and after pictures, weekly pictures, monthly pictures etc.. They’re a much better tracking metric for swimsuit season because the visual eye, especially in side-by-side comparisons, can distinguish the difference between fat and muscle, and in turn, if you’re ready for the new swimsuit you just purchased. 


Unfortunately, not everyone likes taking pictures of themselves. Plus, it takes some time to really see a difference in pictures, and thus, they lack the daily motivational encouragement of the scale. 


That’s exactly why we invested in an Inbody scale. It not only tells you your body weight, but it breaks it down into how much fat and muscle you have. Best of all, it’s extremely accurate -as in medical-grade accurate (the next best option behind the bodpod and dexa scan).


So, what’s the challenge?


The Swimsuit Trifecta Challenge


What: Get your InBody scan done before April 1st. On June 1st, you’ll get your second scan. If the second scan shows a drop in your body weight and body fat AND an increase in your muscle mass, you’ll earn the Ageless Trifecta t-shirt. Your name will also be entered in a drawing for $100 worth of lottery scratch-off cards (keeping in line with our gambling theme). 


Privacy notice: Your scan will be printed off on a sheet like this. You’ll be the only one to see the sheet until the end of the contest when we have to do the comparison. The comparison will be done by an Ageless staff member, but you will keep both sheets during and after the challenge. We will not post your name or your results on social media beyond congratulating you on earning the Trifecta. 

How: You can do your own workouts and diet, or you’ll have access to the diet and workouts we’re going to personally use during the challenge (the one we’ve been working on for the last 3 swimsuit seasons that’s allowed me to shed anywhere from 10-20lbs without killing myself in the weight room or the kitchen). You’ll get the weekly workout plan and diet plan emailed to you each Saturday of the challenge. And of course, if you have questions, you can always ask us. 


When: April 1st – June 1st


Cost: Free for members. $25 for non-members.

 
How to register: Add your name to the signup sheet at the front desk. We’ll schedule your Inbody scan the week before April 1st.
