Get ready for a complete total body workout using just your body weight and kettlebells. Svelte starts this May on Tuesdays at 6:30pm at Ageless and Wednesdays at 7pm at A2.

What is it?

Forget the barbells, dumbbells, bands, and medicine balls. Svelte uses just kettlebells and TRX’s to create the ultimate bikini-ready body.  Never used a kettlebell before? No worries. You’ll learn the basics like the swing, Turkish getup, and overhead press, and then slowly progress to more advanced exercises like the clean and press.  During the 45 minute class, you’ll jump from a kettlebell exercise to a TRX exercise to a core exercise, resting just long enough to catch your breath and wipe the sparkle (Over the years, we’ve noticed women don’t sweat; they sparkle) from your brow.

Why kettlelbells?

The 3 F’s of Kettlebell Training

  • Fast – Jennifer Aniston, Katherine Heigl, and Jessica Biel love kettlebells because they train the entire body.  Thus, there’s no need for 5 different exercises when one exercise can hit all of your muscles. In the biz, that’s what we like to call a big bang for your buck.
  • Fat Loss – Compared to running on the treadmill, studies suggest an intense kettlebell workout can get you the exact same results in just half the time.  The kettlebell swing and kettlebell snatch are excellent exercises to burn fat, improve cardiovascular fitness, and create the Svelte-look.
  • Fun – If you’re tired of running on the treadmill and performing traditional barbell exercises, kettlebells are an excellent choice to mix things up and break the monotony of traditional training programs. Depending on the load (the size of the kettlebell), kettlebells can be used to increase strength, add muscle mass, lose fat, or improve cardiovascular fitness.

Due to the limited number of TRX’s and kettlebells we have, you will be required to register for this class.  Class size is limited to 18 participants.
